Automatic Driving Lessons from Bradleys School of Motoring
Why should I take driving lessons in an automatic car?
Automatic cars, in general, are easier to learn in initially as there are less controls to have to master. Previously it had been difficult to find a car that was automatic but now there is starting to be more choice of car available. Also, they tend to be better to drive around town where there is going to be a lot of stopping and starting.
If speed of learning is important to you then taking driving lessons in an automatic car is the obvious choice.
What are the benefits of an automatic car over a manual one?
Generally speaking automatic cars tend to be easier to drive, not having gears or a clutch to worry about. People tend to find that overall, fewer lessons are needed to reach test standard on average. Also the lack of complexity and fewer controls make automatic cars a good choice for the older driver.
Why are automatic car driving lessons more expensive?
Automatic cars are more specialist vehicles than manual cars and this tends to be reflected in the cost of the vehicle. As it is more difficult to find an automatic instructor, you tend to find automatic instructors have fewer spaces in their diaries. As a large driving school we can offer more automatic instructors (dependant on area).
