Manual Driving Lessons from Bradleys School of Motoring

Why should I take driving lessons in a manual car?

Manual lessonsThere is no compelling reason for why you should take lessons in a manual car over an automatic except one: if you have a manual licence then you can drive both manual and automatic cars. This obviously opens up the types of vehicles that you can drive and also means that you do not have to pass a seperate practical test to drive an automatic car.

If cost is important then being able to drive a manual car is the obvious choice.

What are the benefits of a manual car over an automatic?

Manual cars are by far and away the most common type of car on the road at the moment, and this is reflected in the number of instructors that teach in them. It is generally cheaper to learn in a manual car, there is a wider choice of vehicles as well as the overall cost of the vehicles being cheaper to both buy and maintain.

Why are manual car driving lessons cheaper to drive?

Manual cars are cheaper to run and maintain, and they also cost less to buy. Generally speaking it is also easier to find a manual instructor than an automatic one. As in most cases it tends to be supply and demand - manual cars tend to be the most popular ones to learn in as they are the most common type of car on the road.
